Supporting Strategic Planning and Community Engagement for Local NGO in Timor

Friends of Suai have engaged Bridging Peoples to provide strategic support to local partner, Centru Comunidade Covalima (CCC). Friends of Suai have a long-standing partnership with CCC, supporting them in a wide range of activities that they carry out in the community, including agricultural work, supporting women and women’s empowerment, community development, a busy IT program, and other locally-centred activities.

Bridging Peoples provided mentoring and training to CCC staff to improve their community engagement skills and processes, worked directly with women’s community groups to tweak programming and ensure it makes sense for rural women in traditional, conservative communities, and worked with staff to carry out local research & advocacy in their area.

We are proud to support CCC in this important work, which is making a real difference to the lives of community members.
