Local NGO Centru Comunidade Covalima (CCC), located in remote Suai, Timor-Leste, implements various community development programs. This includes the Rural Women’s Development Program, funded by the International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA.)
As part of their project planning, IWDA engaged Bridging Peoples to conduct a rapid assessment of CCC’s rural women’s groups, to assess how the women’s groups see themselves and their work, where they identify their existing strengths, and what they think is needed for them to be able to become self-sustaining. This rapid assessment was primarily to support IWDA in re-considering their funding options, and to support their transition planning.
This project was conducted in 2018.
